The 16-year-old was named top teen by the Duchess of York after beating seven other finalists.
He showed his bravery and amazing skill which won him the award when he was just 15 in his record-breaking trip across the ocean last year.
Britain's Brilliant Prodigies Awards are in their second year and are like the Oscars for the young and talented.
They are given out to teens who make a difference and whose achievements show other young people they can do what they want if they put their minds to it.
Other winners included 15-year-old Louie Batley from Chorley who picked up the Best Young Modern Dancer award.
And Best Young Pop Singer was won by Jessica Cornish, 15, from Essex.
