The RMS Mulheim was carrying huge amounts of shredded plastics when it hit rocks near to Land's End and was damaged.
Conservationists are worried the plastic will leak out and harm wildlife.
Some of it has already escaped into the sea.
Now salvagers are working to get the rubbish off the ship, to stop any more leaking out.
Good weather will help
They've already managed to get about half of the cargo off, but are hoping more good weather will allow them to do more.
They plan to build a rig alongside the ship and lift the plastic onto barges.
But some people are angry that it's taken a long time for the rescue operation to be done.
Conservationists say it could take years for the sea to recover from the pollution.
