Luke hopes his book will help people understand Asperger Syndrome better
Imagine if you could hear someone whispering in the next door room but not the person standing next to you.

Or if bright lights hurt your eyes and you had panic attacks.

Luke's now on a special diet which has helped him a lot

Fourteen-year-old Luke Jackson has this nearly every day because he has something called Asperger syndrome.

Asperger syndrome is a form of autism.

People with autism find it difficult to communicate with others
They find it hard to understand facial expressions
They like to have a routine
They have obsessions
The exact cause of autism is unclear

Sometimes people don't understand what Asperger syndrome is so he's written a book all about what his life is like.

The book - Freaks, Geeks and Asperger Syndrome, looks at how Luke's delt with bullying, dating, homework and making friends.

The book comes out in the shops on 22 August and Luke hopes it will give people a better understanding of the illness and those who have it.
