Seven to 10-year-olds living in Scotland and the North receive an average of £3 pocket money a week, while those in the South get just £2.67.
As many as 13% lucky Northern children get a fiver or more a week, while only 9% of Midlanders make that.
The pocket money divide also sees 14-year-olds in the South earning an average of £6.39, that's 28p less than their friends in the North.
Rocket spending power
Mintel, the report's researchers predict that pocket money will rise to around £7.80 in five years. This means you'll be pocketing £3bn altogether.
