Updated 29 July 2002, 17.52
Childline
Here's your chance to say a big thank you to someone who's made a huge difference in your life.

Childline are looking for nominations for this year's Childline Awards - but you'll have to be quick because nominations close on Wednesday.

This award is for someone special. It might be a teacher, a doctor, a neighbour or just a friend. So long as they've made a real difference to your life.

Last years winners include Tony Mason - who gave free lessons at the homes of children's who couldn't deal with school.

And Kim Brown - she set up a youth club in an area where kids had nothing to do.

To nominate a person you'll need a special application form:

You can get this from the Childline website link on the right of this page.

Or you can write to

BT Childline Awards,
Freepost 1111,
London N1 OBR

And entries have to be in by the end of July - so get going.
