But lifeguards are warning about big dangers on the beach.

Beach Rescue have specially trained lifeguards on patrol in beaches along the south coast to help keep kids safe.

And they are well prepared! They have nifty water scooters which can quickly get to people in trouble.

Plus they have marked out the areas they patrol with red and yellow flags.

Top tips

Head guard Barry had some top tips for safety:

  • Watch out for the strong currents and waves.
  • Look for the red and yellow flags for safe areas.
  • If you take a ball and it floats away, leave it.
But there are loads of other dangers on the beach which young people have to look out for, including sun burn.

So make sure you check out our guide to summer safety!
