His calls for more understanding came as he launched a new campaign called Respect as part of the Queen's Golden Jubilee celebrations.

He said it's especially important since the 11 September terrorist attacks on the US and the race riots in Bradford last year.
It's hoped the campaign will encourage more understanding between communities so that they find more time for each other and be friends.
There are loads of different religions and cultures in the UK like Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.
But, the Prince said, so often people don't seem to understand each other's cultures.
