  Drug users start 'under age of 14'

Ecstasy and cannabis
Young people could be more at risk from drugs than ever before, a survey's shown.

Two million people admitted they starting taking drugs when they were under 14.

This has shocked some people who associated drugs with older teenagers.

And more than half of young people between 16-24 years old say they have tried illegal drugs.

The most common drugs young people take are cannabis and ecstasy.

A man from the charity Drugscope said this showed children were not put off trying drugs by the threat of prison or fines.

The people behind the survey said it proved that lots more people take drugs in the UK than was thought, and that young people are particularly at risk.
