Girl eating chilli ice cream
Would you be surprised if you heard that someone had invented ice cream that could burn your mouth?

Well, one ice-cream company from Dorset has come up with a recipe that's set to have you sizzling this summer - chilli flavoured ice cream!

Pete and Hazel Hartle who own Purbeck Ice Cream discovered the recipe by chance.

Pete said: "A friend was having a Mexican evening for local firemen and wondered if we could make chilli ice cream.

"We developed a recipe and the fireman loved it."

Gives you a kick!

Apparently you can't feel the chilli when the ice cream hits your tongue, but it gives you a real kick when it gets to your throat.

One customer said: "The idea sounds disgusting but I've been won over. It's amazing."

Although new to this country, chilli ice cream is already popular in Indonesia and Malaysians enjoy eating sweet corn flavour ice cream!
