But it seems teachers at their school in Essex reckoned the girls' new hairdos were hair-don'ts for the classroom.
They thought they would distract their fellow classmates so decided they should be taught separately from everyone else.
So mums of the pop-mad girls decided they should stay home instead.
Faye's mum, Janie, can't see what the problem is: "As far as I'm aware the girls have not broken any rule and I can't see the problem. Their hair looks nice."
The girls are waiting to hear from the school to find out what happens next.
