  Magic sales for Potter books
Updated 22 January 2002, 14.34
Harry Potter author JK Rowling
Harry Potter has worked his magic for his creator JK Rowling, who was the best-selling author in the UK last year.

Her four hugely successful Potter books sold 4.6 million copies in 2001 - beating all other writers.

And she could be set to top that in 2002.

July release?

She is thought to have almost finished the fifth book in the series, called Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

And publisher's are hoping it could be released in July this year.

And if you think that's a long wait, just think - there's still 11 months to go til the second Harry Potter film comes out.
