The 36 pupils who signed up get lunchtime counselling and 11 have already quit the evil weed.
But after half-term a total ban on smoking will be back and parents will be asked to take over, including getting nicotine patches.
Headmaster Geoff Lawson said: "By getting the pupils to admit that they are smoking we are helping them. Most have said they wish they could stop.
"I want the 90% of pupils who do not smoke to be able to go into the toilets and elsewhere without having to inhale tobacco smoke."
