More than two million British children are going hungry because their families are too poor to buy enough food.
A report from The Child Poverty Action Group says after money is spent on things like electricity or rent there often isn't enough left for enough healthy food.
The group is asking the government to give more help to poorer families including free school meals.
Lack of cash
In the past, it has been said that people with less money don't know how to eat healthily.
But this new report says that's just not true and it's the high food prices and lack of cash which are the problem.
The government says it will try to halve the number of children living in poverty by 2010.
More importantly, they plan to get rid of the problem altogether within a generation.
They say the way to do it is to have less unemployment and to spend more money on public services.
