  Phone boss wants to make teens 'millionaires'

The boss of a mobile phone company wants to make millionaires out of techno-savvy 14-year-olds.

John Caudwell, Phones 4u owner, is offering 100 "junior high-flyers" jobs for six hours a week selling hand-held computers to other young customers.

The company say they got the idea when they saw how well young people explained the latest gadgets to their friends.

They'll follow the trainees through school, and if they continue to work for the company, say they could join the next generation of mobile millionaires.

What's the catch?


However, the wages won't make you rich quick - he's only planning to pay the teenagers around £3 an hour, less than the national minimum wage.

Teachers have also criticised the idea saying it will distract teenagers from their studies.

But one keen teen Chris Ansett says it's "a brilliant idea" and added, "I am going for it because I think in the end you could end up on very good money"..
