  Mobile users are 'bird brains'
Updated 16 October 2001, 15.03
Are you a Peacock or a Swift?
If your mobile has to be the brightest and loudest on the block you are a just like a peacock, a report has said.

The report, paid for by Motorola, says that people who use mobile phones are all like different kinds of birds.

Fact File
Which are you?
Swift: Always on the move
Owl: Talking in secret
Starling: Loud and aggressive
Dove: Calm and in control
Sparrow: Chatty but nervous
Peacock: Exhibitionist
All mobile phone users are one of six different kinds of birds say report writers On The Mobile.

The other bird types mentioned are owl, starling, dove, sparrow and peacock.

If you are always texting and chatting on your mobile while on the move you are a swift, but if you prefer to send your texts in private you are an owl.

Showbiz showoffs

Teachers are doves because they are calm, Sir Richard Branson is a swift and showbiz stars are likely to be peacocks because they like to be seen.
