James Bond star Halle Berry plays the Catwoman of the film's title, which is based on a character who lives in Gotham City, where Batman is from.
The New York Times newspaper says it's so bad it's an insult to cats, but adds they'd probably sleep through it.
It also said: "Catwoman is a howlingly silly, moderately diverting exercise in high, pointless style."
Instead film bosses made up a new person called Patience Price for Halle Berry to play.
Even though Catwoman hasn't got good reviews, there are loads of other comic book films coming to cinemas.
New Batman and Superman films, the Fantastic Four and Elektra are all on the way as is a third sequel to Spider-Man and probably X-Men 3 too.
