Updated 19 October 2004, 17.59
A scene from Shark Tale
Shark Tale has stormed to the top of the UK and Ireland box office taking 7.5m in its opening first three days.

The animated cartoon tells the story of a fish called Oscar who has big dreams of escaping his dull life and becoming a famous fish.

Characters are voiced by big name movie stars including Will Smith, Angelina Jolie and Robert De Niro.

The underwater movie has been described as a cross between Finding Nemo and an Italian gangster film.

Shark Tale has already proved to be a hit in the US and spent three weeks topping the box office there.
