Web reviews all say Azkaban rocks
Updated 25 May 2004, 18.49
Daniel Radcliffe in the Prisoner of Azkaban
The first reviews of the Prisoner of Azkaban have hit the internet and so far they're giving it the thumbs up.

The website Newsweek says: "The latest Harry Potter movie rocks!"

Film about growing up

Interestingly they reckon the Prisoner of Azkaban is the best Potter film so far because it's about being 13, which they reckon is a cool age.

Newsweek also thinks director Alfonso Cuaron, who didn't work on the first two Potter films, has deliberately made Hogwarts less romantic-looking.

Their reviewer thinks this makes the magical moments even better and the movie looks much darker and more mysterious than the others.

Newsweek adds that Cuaron scrapped bits of the story that didn't relate to the Sirius Black plot line.

Potter stars shine

The website Ain't It Cool News declares: "Mexican director Alfonso Cuaron brings to life JK Rowling's Harry Potter in a way we have not seen before."

It also says Potter stars Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe really shine in their roles.

The reviewer adds: "I was left with a ridiculous smile (on my face) at the end."

Finally the Atlanta Journal-Constitution website says you can expect this Potter film to be different from the rest: "Harry Potter is back - and a lot has changed."

More sinister and magical

The review goes on to say the Prisoner of Azkaban is more sinister and more magical than the first two films.

It also says that a lot more scenes are shot outdoors in forests and on grassy hills.

So international websites seem to be praising the latest Potter instalment but if you want to find out what Newsround's Lizo thought of the film, come back and all will be revealed on Thursday.
