As if there aren't enough Slaters in Albert Square already, a long lost cousin is to join the soap family.
Teenager Stacey Slater is a real trouble maker and makes a sudden impact when she turns up in the Square.
Stacey will be played by Lacey Turner who in real life used to live just behind the set where the soap is made.
On Tuesday the person in charge of EastEnders, Louise Berridge, quit her job as audience figures fell to the lowest level in the show's history.
Lacey says she was speechless when she found out she'd got the part as Jessie Wallace, who plays her on-screen cousin Kat, is her favourite actress.
