  Coronation Street's Todd quitting
Updated 22 April 2004, 19.21

Bruno Langley plays Todd
Bruno Langley plays Todd
Corrie heartthrob Bruno Langley is quitting his role as Todd Grimshaw after four years on the soap.

The 22-year-old actor says he is leaving because he wants to "develop himself as an actor".

His character is currently caught up in a dramatic storyline. He's torn between his fiancee Sarah Platt and his feelings for a male nurse, Karl Foster.

Todd will not be killed off, which leaves the door open for the actor to return to the show in the future.

"The last four years have been some of the happiest of my life," said Bruno.

Fabulous

"I have thoroughly enjoyed working on some fabulous storylines and it feels as though now is the best time to leave."
