  Film bosses target teen pirates
Updated 23 March 2004, 11.59
Recent films are often pirated
US cinema bosses have made a special trailer to try and convince teens to stop downloading films from the web.

The bosses want to make more money from selling tickets to their films in foreign countries, and think if people download them they'll make less cash.

And the trailers look like they might do what the people behind them want.

A survey of teens in the UK who had the trailer showed to them said that 62% of them might be less likely to download films after seeing it.

The US film industry makes more money from selling cinema tickets in foreign countries than it does in America, and wants to make even more.

But they're very worried that the amount of films being downloaded from the internet and pirate copies of movies on DVD is costing them billions of dollars.

The trailers are the first move in attempts to convince fewer people to watch films illegally.
