  ROTK now second biggest film ever

 ROTK is the second biggest film ever
Rings fans are still flocking to the cinema to see Return of the King, making it the second biggest film ever.

It has now sold more tickets than the third-place film Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.

Return of the King has now made £520m worldwide, but is a long way behind the first-placed film Titanic, which at 194 mins is almost as long as ROTK.

That film was released in 1997, and has made a massive £950m in the seven years since it came out.

Return of the King is expected to keep making money as it has only just been released in some countries, including Japan where it tops the box office.

The first two Rings films, The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers, are also in the top 10 film earners.
