Sam was the red-hot favourite to win, but the public decided they'd rather see Michelle and Mark battle it out.
Michelle is the new favourite, but Mark keeps surprising the judges, who keep tipping him to get the boot only to see him survive for another show.
Last week he shocked them by finishing in front of Chris Hide, and now he's seen off Sam too.
Now the final two will tour the country in buses to try and persuade the public to vote for them in next week's final.
But even if Sam doesn't make it as a star he may still get a number one after singing on the Idols Christmas single Happy Christmas (War is Over).
