Jason Isaacs, who plays Lucius Malfoy in the Potter films, was among those on the red carpet. He plays another baddie - Captain Hook - in Peter Pan.

He was joined by the film's young stars - Jeremy Sumpter who plays Peter and Rachel Hurd-Wood who plays Wendy.

The premiere raised money for the Great Ormond Street Hospital For Children.

American actor Jeremy, 14, was greeted by screaming female fans.

"I guess I'll get the girls following me now. It's what every guy wants," he said.

Rachel, 13, was overwhelmed by the occasion, saying: "It's so unreal."

The film - based on JM Barrie's famous children's book - cost a whopping £65 million.
