Director Peter Jackson has apparently removed Lee's seven minute fight scene from the start of Return of the King.

So Rings fan Matt Shuster set up an online petition to try to get what he thinks is a "bad decision" reversed.

So far, nearly 10,000 people have given their names in support of Lee's scene being put back in.

Peter Jackson, speaking on the web, has apparently said the missing scenes will be in the extended version of the film, to be released on DVD in 2004.
