  Stars out for ROTK world premiere

The final Lord of the Rings film, Return of the King has had its world premiere in New Zealand, where most of the trilogy was made.

Around 100,000 people were in New Zealand's capital Wellington to see stars from the film, including Orlando Bloom and Elijah Wood, in a big parade.

Orlando said: "It's quite breathtaking to be honest, I'm trying to enjoy each moment so I don't forget it."

Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King hits UK cinemas on 17 December.

Some fans had camped out overnight to be near the front of the crowd outside the Embassy Theatre in Wellington.

The parade was led by director Peter Jackson sitting in a car, with other actors following him and Black Riders from the films riding alongside the cars.

He said: "These movies are made for people to enjoy them, and it makes us feel incredibly humble, and proud."
