The sequel picked up the best movie prize at the British Academy Children's Film and Television Awards.

Emma Watson, who plays Hermione Granger in the films, was one of the stars there to receive the award.

Matt Baker from Blue Peter was named best TV presenter at the star-studded event, which was hosted by CBBC's Fearne Cotton.

The winners of the night were chosen by thousands of kids from all over the country.

The Chamber of Secrets fought off tough competition to win the top film prize - it beat The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, Hulk and X-Men 2 to the award.

Blue Peter also picked up another prize for its Launch of the Tanzania Water Appeal which was named best factual programme.

Whale Rider was voted best feature film - a different award to the best film - and Bob the Builder - A Christmas To Remember got best animation.
