		Three-week queue for LOTR tickets

Lord of the Rings fans in Norway desperate to be at the premiere of the final film in the trilogy have been queuing for three weeks.

Many of the 144 fans dressed as characters from the books by JRR Tolkien, have been waiting outside the Colosseum Cinema in Oslo.

Now their wait is over, because tickets have finally gone on sale.

The fans have met with a mixed reaction, with some being told to "get a life" by other Norwegians.

Eager Rings fans have been queuing for weeks

But those in the queue don't think what they've been doing is at all strange.

One even explained that a number of the queuers from last year are now living in the same house, adding: "eccentrics have to stick together."
