Updated 27 October 2003, 15.08
Harry and Ron in The Chamber Of Secrets
Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets and Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers are going head-to-head at this year's kids' Bafta Awards.

They've been nominated for best feature film. They'll be up against Whale Rider and the Wild Thornberrys.

Thornberrys, Harry and LOTR have also been selected for a special kids' vote to find out your fave top 10 films.

The winners will be announced at a star-studded ceremony at posh London hotel the Hilton on 30 November.

Newsround won a kids' Bafta last year

Newsround scooped a gong at last year's bash.

It won best factual programme for a Newsround Extra about Afghanistan.

This year, Blue Peter, The Really Wild Show, Get The Skinny and Rad And The Grommets Tour will compete for the honour.

Other nominees include Blue Peter's Matt and CBBC's Angellica, who are competing in the best presenter category.

The kids' Baftas were started in 1996.

Bafta stands for British Academy of Film and Television Arts. It hosts other awards ceremonies, but this one's especially for kids.
