Although bids came in from all over the world by phone and on the net, they reckon the mini plastic heroes must have been snapped up by the same collector.

Luke Skywalker, hero of the first Star Wars trilogy, and big hairy Wookie Chewbacca each sold for £1,162, and Luke's sister Leia went for about £600.
