"I felt the pressure today. I wasn't the Audley I wanted to be," he said.
Speaking about the Fame Academy vocal coaches, he added: "I could see the disappointment in Carrie and David's faces and I wanted the earth to swallow me up."
But he wasn't too upset.
"It was amazing - I'm really going to miss it. The whole experience was brilliant," he said of his time in the Academy.
The 12 remaining students will be singing live on BBC One again on Wednesday - when another one will be expelled.
