Computers can make visitors appear the size of hobbits, they can check out their rubber feet and try the contact lenses which make orcs look scary.
The exhibition will run until January and will be on while the final film in the trilogy - Return of the King - is released in cinemas.
The exhibition moves all around the world, and heads for Singapore, Boston and Sydney after its run in London finishes.
