Hana Makhmalbaf, 14, is up for best director for her debut movie at the prestigious Venice Film Festival.
Her film is called Joy of Madness and it's the first full-length movie she's ever made.
Film family
It's an incredible achievement for a teenager, but Hana does come from a film-making family.
Her dad and older sister are both top Iranian film directors.
So she grew up on film sets and has been making short films since she was eight.
The Venice Film Festival runs from 27 August to 6 September.
