Osbournes star in megabucks Super Bowl ad
Updated 23 January 2003, 19.46

Loud-mouthed telly family the Osbournes are to appear in one of the most expensive ads on US TV.

It's promoting a new Pepsi drink, and sees Jack and Kelly turn into clean-cut 70s pop stars The Osmonds.

Fact File
Super Bowl 2003
About 80m people watch the Super Bowl each year
Can cost more than 1m for a 30-sec ad-break
Final is Oakland Raiders vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Trailers for Hulk, Terminator 3 and the Matrix sequels will be on, too
The ad will be shown this weekend during one of America's biggest sporting events, the Super Bowl.

That's the final of the American National Football League - the US football game that's different from international football.

Millions watch the game on TV, and so the ad breaks have become a national event.

Hit me baby!

Britney Spears in the Pepsi ad
Britney Spears starred in a Pepsi ad during last year's Super Bowl.

It's thought she got more viewers than the game itself!

This year, the company are hoping to go one better with the ad for their new lemon drink, Pepsi Twist.

After Jack and Kelly turn into the Osmonds, Ozzy screams his now-familiar "Shaaaaarrrroooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnn"!

But Ozzy won't be that angry - Britney's rumoured to have been paid 5.7m for her starring role in 2002.
