Eminem won a Brit Award in 2001

The Two Towers enjoyed a four-week stay at the top, but a strong showing from 8 Mile on its first week of release ended that.

The film took almost £4.5m in the UK and Ireland, and has now topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic.

The film is about a white wannabe rapper from Detroit, and although that's quite similar to Eminem's early life, it isn't exactly the same.

Eminem will be hoping for more success in the UK on 20 February at the Brit Awards where he is up for best International Male and best International Album.
