The paper says a source from the label told them: "We were aware of Javine before Popstars and the show proved what we already knew. It would be crazy not to tie her down to a few albums."
Javine got down the last six girls on the ITV talent show, but was controversially voted off despite judges' comments that she was one of the best girls on the show.
Some fans of the show said they'd phoned in for Javine but were told that they have voted for one of the other contestants but the people behind the phone system said Javine lost fair and square.
