Another Bafta battle for Potter and Rings
Updated 16 January 2003, 17.11
Will Rings rule at the Baftas again this year?
Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings will be going into battle once again at the top film awards in Britain.

The Chamber of Secrets and the Two Towers are both in the running for the Orange Film of the Year at the British Academy Film Awards (Baftas) in February.

Other films popular with kids are also in the top 10, including Monsters Inc., Attack of the Clones, Spider-Man and Scooby Doo.

The 10 nominated films are the ones that made the most money in the UK, and the winner will be chosen by a public vote.

Last year the first Lord of the Rings film won five awards at the Baftas, including the one voted for by the people, but Harry Potter didn't win any.

The other awards given out on the night are voted for by members of the Academy, and they tend to reward films for older people rather than ones for kids.
