Who?

He was a Time Lord who fought evil beings called Daleks and travelled in a Tardis.

That was a police phone box which was magically bigger inside than out.

It was on TV from the 1960s till 1989.

The doctor's beaten Buffy, Spike and Gandalf to the honour in SFX magazine.

But Buffy didn't do too shabbily: four characters from the show are in the top 10.

Characters from Farscape and Star Wars were also voted for by sci-fi fans.
