Although the fantasy film doesn't open officially until 18 December, there will be another special preview of it in Toronto on 6 December.

The European premiere is to be held in Paris on 10 December and it will finally hit the UK on 11 December.

The film is expected to be a massive hit after the first one - The Fellowship of the Ring - was the second biggest movie of 2001 after Harry Potter, making £547m ($860m).
