Nicola Ward, 19, said she was quitting because she is not happy with the contract the producers want the finalists to sign.

The wannabe is angry they are making the successful band-members sign the agreement which apparently says they will be paid £1,500 a week.

She thinks the programme makers are taking advantage of them and will unfairly get a lot more money.

Pete Waterman: she was 'cocky'

But Andrew who was voted off on Saturday, said in a press conference:

"There're lots of people who would like to be in her situation. We are doing it because we want to sing not for money reasons.

"She's taken someone else's place who would have been quite happy with what she was offered."

Judge Pete Waterman agreed and said he wasn't surprised she left because she was too clever and "cocky" right from the start.

Nicola will now be replaced by one of the girls who didn't make it to the final 10.
