There's also a much better look at slimy little Gollum and the very first look of the giant Ent Treebeard.

In the second film, The Two Towers, the Fellowship is still split, with Frodo and Sam on their own, Merry and Pippin captured, and Gimli, Aragorn and Legolas searching for them.

But most exciting of all is the way the trailer shows a glimpse of the climax of the film, a vast battle between the men and the Uruk-Hai at Helm's Deep.
