Since 1964, millions have eagerly tuned in every week to see how their fave singles have done in the charts.

Back then, the programme was presented by pop-tastic DJ Jimmy Savile, who's now "Sir" Jimmy!

To celebrate, TOTP have invited old and newer bands along for a special birthday show.

Atomic Kitten will be there with their number one The Tide Is High.

And former All Saints singers, Appleton, will be joining in the fun with their number two single Fantasy.

And oldie rockers Status Quo will be performing too, in what will be their 106th appearance. Gareth Gates has a long way to go to beat that record!

TOTP is still watched by more and three million a week and is one of the UK's most popular music show.
