  Popstars 2 set for Christmas number one

Popstars: The Rivals' judges, Geri Halliwall and Louie Walsh
Popstars: The Rivals is set to hit the screens tonight and already bookies are tipping the as yet unnamed boy band for the top slot at Christmas.

The bookies say that the girl band is set for a number two chart success.

The show intends to find two pop bands; one boy and one girl.

Although record shop HMV say that timing is everything when is comes to releasing a single intended for a yuletide number one.

They reckon that bringing out a single as close to Christmas as possible is the key.
