Talented children from across the country were nominated by teachers, coaches and MPs in eight different categories, from Best Young Actor and Pop Singer to the Young Person Who Made a Difference.

H & Claire

Big Brother fave Davina McCall was on hand to dish out advice and congratulate the winners along with H & Claire, the Duchess of York and Sir Paul McCartney.

The awards raised money for Children in Crisis, a charity founded by the Duchess of York which helps some of the world's most disadvantaged children.

Prodigy of the Year

It was a tough decision, but talented musician Nicola Benedetti was named overall Prodigy of the Year.

She said: "I didn't expect to win an award at all so to get two is brilliant!

The 14-year-old added: "The whole evening has been very exciting and I even bumped into Graham Norton in the corridor. My mates will be so jealous!"
