But Anthony, who's one of the few actors to appear in all of the Star Wars movies, admitted he nearly didn't take the part!
"I refused to meet George Lucas!" he said. "My agent made me go. But I fell in love with a painting of C-3PO."
And after playing C-3PO in the first three films, Anthony said he was delighted when, 16 years later, director George Lucas said he was making three more movies.
'It's your life'
"I was really, really chuffed," he said. "I thought that part of my life was disappearing. And it just goes on."
Anthony said he loved being one of the most famous robots of all time. He said he got a "bounce of excitement" from meeting fans which was almost as good as making the actual Star Wars films.
And Anthony said his advice to anyone was to follow their dreams, as his parents didn't want him to be an actor, but he went ahead and did it anyway.
"If you really want to do something, then go and do it," he said. "It's your life."
