There are still six weeks to go until Attack of the Clones is shown for the first time, and the people aren't even 100% sure that it's going to be on at the cinema where they're queuing.
No one spends every minute of every day in the queue. But there are special rules to make sure the people who spend the most time queuing get the earliest and best tickets.
Local businesses let the fans use their toilets and showers. Others give them some free food or even DVDs to play on their laptop computers.
UK cinemas opening at midnight
In the UK the Odeon cinema chain has announced tickets will be on sale from 12 April, in advance of midnight showings of the movie.
Star Wars Episode 2: Attack Of The Clones is out in the UK on 16 May.
