Halle Berry's star is rising

But she hasn't just been around for the last couple of years, making her first film 11 years ago.

Halle is in the next Bond movie

Since then she's been in around 20 films, and although lots of them have been mainly for older people, she did appear in big-screen version of telly cartoon The Flintstones.

She has often been praised by critics for the quality of her acting, and now has won the ultimate prize, an Oscar.

She was born in 1968 and was a successful model before turning to acting, first on TV and then on film.
