Chicken Run, the poultry cartoon from Aardman Animations, has won a top film prize.

It's been named best European animated feature at the British Animation Awards.

It had to share the win with a French film but the clever plasticine-modellers at Aardman probably don't mind too much.

Although the film actually came out in 2000, the award has only just been announced.

It's set in a scary chicken farm in Yorkshire where the birds must plot their escape or end up as chicken pie!

Other winners included Damon Albarn's cartoon group Gorillaz. They took best music video for Clint Eastwood.

The awards are chosen by experts in cartoons and animation.
