Are you mad about TV? Do your parents moan that you're becoming a couch potato?

Well there's some good news at last for everyone who's balmy about the box.

Scientists reckon TV is actually good for us.

TV's been blamed for turning us into lazy, overweight slobs, and stopping us making close friends, because we spend all our time indoors staring at the screen.

Be 'screen-wise'

But scientists now say mates and families often meet up to watch TV together, and people who don't know each other often use TV as an excuse to get chatting.

And they reckon as long as kids are 'screen wise' about the TV, and don't make it the only thing they like doing, there shouldn't be any long-term health risks either.

Now, where's that remote?
