Updated 19 February 2002, 15.18
Gorillaz in Zombie Kong
Virtual band Gorillaz are to star in their own video game - except it will be played on TV, not games consoles.

If you have interactive digital TV, you'll get a chance to play one of the cartoon quartet, guitarist Noodle.

The Donkey Kong-style game, Zombie Kong, will be on the PlayJam channel from Friday.

You'll have to guide Noodle through 12 levels and loads of tricky obstacles.

The multi-media rock band are delighted to be the first to have their own TV game.

"Now Gorillaz fans without Internet connections at home won't just be able to listen to Gorillaz, they'll also be able to be Gorillaz whenever they feel like it", says band spokesperson Gareth Currie.

Up for six Brit awards

The foursome, created by Damon Albarn and comic book artist Jamie Hewlett, are up for six Brit awards including best British group and best British album.

That's more nominations than anyone else, but newspaper reports suggest they'll be snubbed this year.
